Frequently Asked Questions

Here you find answers to some of the more frequently asked questions that we receive. We hope that this can be a useful resource to you. If you still have questions that are not answered here or you would like to contact us for another reason please feels free to
contact us.
Question : How old does my child have to be to play?
Answer : Your child must have turned 3 years old by July 31st of the current year. The age of your child on that date sets their "League Age".
Question : Who will be my child's coach?
Answer : Coaches are all volunteers. At the time of sign-ups we can not tell you who will be your child's coach. Coaches are based on who volunteered to coach and the make up of the children that have signed up. Once your child has been assigned to a team, the coach will contact you.
Question : Is there a discount for signing up more than one child?
Answer : No, Munchkins(3yrs) are $30, Micros(4-7yrs) are $65, any child 8 and above are $85.(this price does not include a uniform for traveling players).
Question : What is the concession stand fee? Will I get that back?
Answer : There is no concession stand fee. The concession stand runs with the help of coaches and the volunteering parents.
Question : Will my child be on a travelling team?
Answer : Travelling soccer starts with children who are league age 8 at the start of the season.
Question : Is my child's coach trained to be a coach? Are they being paid?
Answer : All travelling coaches are required to obtain an "F" License. This requires a nine hour training course to be completed.
The Intermural coaches are not required to have this license, but are encouraged to do so.
No coaches are paid for their time.
Question : Does the Clayton Soccer Association have regular meetings? When are they?
Answer : We have regular meetings every first Thursday of the month. The board, coaches and interested parties may attend. Coaches are required to attend all of the meetings. The
Events Calendar will show the exact dates and times that they will occur.
